Snowing before Halloween and praying for our neighbors.

I’m not sure if you would call snow the day before Halloween a trick or a treat? For many, it’s a snow day from school and work, for others their day continues as normal just with a few added inconveniences. This particular storm has a heavier affect on all of us around the country, because we know where this storm came from and although we are dealing just with snow here in Southwest Virginia, it is a minor inconvenience compared to millions of our neighbors up the eastern shore of the country who are dealing with flooding, loss of property, loss of lives, loss of power, and I am sure many who are experiencing this nightmare feel it is truly the end of the world.

At Wholesale Vinyl & Aluminum, Inc. of Abingdon, everyone affected by Hurricane Sandy has constantly been in our thoughts and prayers. It wasn’t long ago when a natural disaster came barreling through our small community, leaving hundreds homeless, thousands without power, and basically everyone in the community wondering how this could happen here? It did, and we united together, building back, and knowing that no matter what happens, we are Americans and we will always unite. We will move forward, and that is our message and hope for those of you affected by Sandy, keep on moving forward. There is much work to be done, but it will get done, and you will make it through what seems to be the end.
